Selling at the Speed of Opportunity

Confucius once stated; "The Man who can read and chooses not to, is at no advantage over the man who cannot read".

He was said to be reflecting on the worthlessness of having an opportunity for self-improvement and not utilising it to any advantage.

Couldn't we apply this wisdom to our daily sales & business activities?

If we did, it may sound like this;

"The person who has the opportunity to progress and chooses not to, is at no advantage to the person without an opportunity".

Each and every day, as sales people we are provided with a product or service to sell or represent; territory in which to sell it; even sometimes a remuneration system that compensates us for our efforts, and we have – at our fingertips – a good opportunity.

To sell at the speed of opportunity is to maximise the availability of prospective customers

To sell at the speed of opportunity is to maximise the time we have to sell, not waste it

To sell at the speed of opportunity is to maximise the resources we have available

To sell at the speed of opportunity is to channel the energy we have to achieve our goals and targets

To sell at the speed of opportunity is to recognise when opportunities arise, grab hold of them and go for the ride of your life – while there is an opportunity!
